Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRN - ER/n/nJob Details:/n• Serve as Charge Nurse in the Emergency Department with supervisory responsibilities over licensed practical nurses, certified nurses aides, and ward clerks/n• Assess patients within 5 minutes of admission based on presenting problems and medical diagnosis/n• Implement T-System documentation and complete ongoing assessments based on patient condition/n• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions as ordered by providers consistent with emergency care standards/n• Manage care of patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes in a sometimes chaotic work environment/n• Interact with patients and families from diverse developmental and sociocultural backgrounds/n• Maintain professional relationships and communicate effectively with healthcare team members/n• Complete required documentation in accurate and timely manner/n• Participate in performance improvement and risk management activities/n• Provide patient and family education based on assessed learning needs/n• Demonstrate cost effectiveness in supply usage and equipment management/n• Current Colorado Registered Nurse License required/n• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications required within six months of hire/n• One year of RN experience highly preferred/n• Must possess strong computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to learn new software systems/n• Requires regular attendance, punctuality, and ability to work independently with minimum supervision/n/nFacility:/nThis hospital district operates a comprehensive healthcare facility providing emergency services and inpatient care to the community.
