Driver routes will typically be 4-10 stops per route, will require the driver to unload via lift gate with pallet jack, and transport/place palletized products inside the customers’ location. Drivers will be expected to use ELD and log all activity and follow all state and federal regulations. Routes are generally <150 miles round trip but could be longer including interstate depending on DC location.How You Will Impact Smurfit WestrockSafely operates tractor and trailer for the delivery of products and materials.Perform vehicle inspections as required.Operate mobile apps on the phone for ELD and proof of delivery.Provide outstanding customer service during delivery.Follow all safety rules for equipment and material handling as required by DOT, OSHA and Company safety program.Ensure all orders are delivered in good condition and in full as per the bill of lading.Communicate effectively with operations staff about customer concerns.Utilize material handling equipment, such hand trucks.What You Need To SucceedCurrent CDL Class A licenseNo preventable motor vehicle violations within the last 12 monthsCurrent medical certification card.One or more years’ experience driving a tractor trailer.General fluency in English required, verbal and writtenBasic computer literacy preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
