Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures. * Analyze and troubleshoot tooling-related production issues, implementing effective solutions. * Manage tooling projects from concept through design, procurement, and validation. * Implement continuous improvement initiatives for tooling performance, lifespan, and cost efficiency. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, design, quality) to define tooling requirements. * Conduct root cause analysis for tooling failures and implement corrective and preventive actions. * Maintain comprehensive tooling documentation, specifications, and maintenance schedules. Recommended Qualifications * Expertise in tool design principles for molds, dies, jigs, and fixtures. * Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Mastercam). * Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stamping, and CNC machining. * Knowledge of various tooling materials, heat treatment, and surface finishing techniques. * Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement for tooling performance and lifespan. * Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, specifications, and GD&T. Bonus Qualifications * Experience with automation integration or robotics in a manufacturing setting. * Familiarity with advanced simulation software (e.g., mold flow analysis, multi-physics FEA). * Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification. * Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP). * Experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing) for tooling components or prototypes.
