Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale mechanical and process piping scopes for mission-critical data center construction projects across the Southern and Southeastern United States. This role will oversee all aspects of project execution for complex HVAC piping, chilled water systems, condenser water systems, and process piping installations while managing field operations, project controls, client relationships, subcontractors, procurement, and project financials.The ideal candidate brings deep experience managing mechanical subcontractor operations on hyperscale or mission-critical projects and has a proven ability to deliver technically complex piping systems safely, on schedule, and within budget.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & ExecutionLead multiple concurrent data center mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover.Manage all aspects of mechanical piping and process piping scopes including:Chilled water pipingCondenser water pipingProcess piping systemsHVAC hydronic systemsPrefabricated piping assembliesEquipment setting and piping tie-insDevelop and execute project strategies to maintain schedule, productivity, quality, and profitability.Coordinate closely with general contractors, owners, engineers, vendors, and internal operations teams.Schedule & PlanningDevelop detailed project execution plans and recovery plans when necessary.Drive milestone achievement through proactive planning and field coordination.Participate in pull planning, look-ahead scheduling, and critical path management.Coordinate manpower loading and resource allocation across multiple projects.Financial ManagementManage project budgets, forecasting, cost reporting, and change management processes.Track labor productivity, material procurement, and equipment costs.Identify and mitigate project risks impacting profitability or schedule.Lead contract administration and negotiate change orders with clients and general contractors.Field Operations OversightPartner with Superintendents and field leadership to ensure safe and efficient installation activities.Monitor installation quality and ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.Support prefabrication strategies to improve productivity and schedule performance.Conduct regular site visits across active project locations.Client & Stakeholder ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, GCs, design teams, and vendors.Lead project meetings, progress reviews, and executive reporting.Safety & QualityPromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all company and site safety requirements.Support QA/QC processes, turnover documentation, testing, flushing, and commissioning activities.Ensure all mechanical systems are installed in accordance with design documents and applicable codes.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.8+ years of project management experience in mechanical construction.Strong experience managing mechanical piping scopes on large commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects.Demonstrated experience with:Chilled water systemsProcess piping systemsHydronic pipingMechanical equipment coordinationBIM/VDC coordinationExperience working for a mechanical subcontractor is strongly preferred.Proven ability to manage projects exceeding $10M in mechanical scope value.Strong understanding of construction scheduling software, budgeting, forecasting, and project controls.Ability to travel regularly throughout the South and Southeast U.S.
