Job Description Salary: $53.09-$70.00Furtado & Associates, Inc. (F&A) is a leading consulting engineering, land surveying and construction management firm in Seattle, WA. We are a small, privately held firm that works on transportation infrastructure projects throughout the Puget Sound area, including Sound Transits Link Light Rail Extensions and numerous projects for WSDOT and SDOT. Our busy office currently has an opportunity for a professional and experienced individual to fill the role of Senior Civil Engineer. In this position, the successful applicant will be responsible for working with the Project Manager to ensure project delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to join an established and dynamic organization that is experiencing significant growth.Job Responsibilities:The Senior Civil Engineer will work under the direction of the Project Manager, assisting on large engineering projects. F&A works primarily on large public works projects in the Seattle area, and in this role you will be helping our clients deliver on these important projects.Job responsibilities will include,but are not limited to:Manage and oversee project deliverables to ensure that client expectations are being metContinually coordinate with Engineering staff and all other departmentsReview and process drawings and submittalsReview plans and specificationsPerform engineering calculations and designAssist with writing project specificationsAssist with preparing engineering/technical documentsPreparation of plans using CADDAssist in preparing exhibits for public meetingsPerform research and review of agency standardsOther duties as assigned by Project ManagerQualifications&Requirements:Degree inEngineeringEIT or WA State PE6 or more years of experience in civil engineeringCandidates should be highly motivated and dependableBasic understanding ofAutoCAD Civil 3D,Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePointprogramsAbility to quickly learn other supporting software a plusFundamental knowledge of engineering, land surveying or constructionSelf-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and able to complete assignments quickly and in a timely fashionBenefits and Compensation:We are a small business offering big business benefits, including competitive compensation (depending on experience) with medical, vision, dental, and life insurance, 401(k) (with company contributions), and paid vacation, sick leave, and 10 paid holidays.EEO Commitment:Furtado & Associates, Inc. an equal opportunity employer.
