Transportation CoordinatorMantech seeks a motivated and adaptable Transportation Coordinator to join our team in Oahu, Hawaii. This position plays a critical role in facilitating transportation coordination and multimodal movement planning to support agile and resilient logistics operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinate and oversee sea, land, and air transportation services for personnel and cargo in support of operational and contingency requirements.
Develop and maintain comprehensive transportation route plans, accounting for terrain, infrastructure, and security factors.
Ensure in-transit visibility (ITV) and tracking of all cargo and personnel assets using government or commercial automated information systems.
Conduct movement control operations, including manifests, shipping documentation, and cargo coordination with seaports, airfields, and ground terminals.
Optimize transportation assets to ensure full loading capacity and reduce redundant movements.
Comply with regulatory requirements, including Cargo Preference Acts, ITAR, and host nation customs laws during freight movement.
Provide surge support for rapid deployments, including activating new movement pathways with rapid responsiveness.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in transportation, logistics, or a related field.
7+ years of transportation or logistics coordination experience, preferably in military and commercial environments.
Strong understanding of multimodal mobility operations (air, sea, land) and regulatory compliance (e.g., ITAR, Cargo Preference Acts).
Demonstrated experience coordinating with military and commercial transportation providers.
High School and 4 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree in a related discipline.
Knowledge of DoD transportation systems such as GATES, TC-AIMS, or GTN.
Background coordinating with host nation authorities or foreign customs agencies.
Transportation certification (e.g., Defense Transportation Coordinator or similar credential).
Clearance requirements:
Must have a current/active TS/SCI clearance.
Physical requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
