This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining secure cloud native platforms and DevOps pipelines within a Microsoft Azure ecosystem. The engineer will work across infrastructure, platform engineering, and development teams to ensure systems are secure, scalable, automated, and highly available.This position requires a senior engineer capable of operating independently while helping shape platform architecture, automation strategies, and DevSecOps practices supporting mission systems.ResponsibilitiesSupport the development and modernization of mission systems operating within Azure based cloud environmentsAssist with architecture, design, development, integration, and support of build, integration and deployment pipelines optimized for performance and scalability across Azure and hybrid cloud environmentsDesign and implement cloud native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automated configuration managementDevelop and maintain CI CD pipelines using modern DevOps tooling to enable rapid and reliable application deliveryLeverage Azure platform capabilities and industry best practices to improve platform scalability, reliability, and operational efficiencyOverviewCollaborate with software engineers, mission application teams, and infrastructure engineers to build secure and reliable development environmentsIntegrate security and compliance controls into platform services including identity management, encryption, secrets management, and policy enforcementSupport platform operations, system reliability, monitoring, and performance tuning across production environmentsTroubleshoot application and infrastructure issues within Azure and hybrid Windows environmentsRequired Skills10 to 15 plus years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, cloud engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineeringStrong experience working within Microsoft Azure cloud environments including core services such as Azure Compute, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, and Azure IdentityExtensive experience with Windows Server administration and Windows based infrastructureExperience designing and deploying cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or BicepStrong experience building and maintaining CI CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git, or similar DevOps platformsExperience with configuration management and automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting frameworksExperience supporting hybrid cloud environments integrating on premise systems with Azure cloud servicesExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes or Azure Kubernetes ServiceExperience implementing monitoring, logging, and reliability practices using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or similar toolsExperience supporting secure environments and implementing security best practices within cloud platformsExperience working in Agile development environments such as Scrum or KanbanStrong troubleshooting and systems engineering skillsDesired SkillsExperience designing cloud native applications within Azure environmentsExperience supporting Azure Kubernetes Service or container orchestration platformsExperience integrating DevSecOps practices into cloud development pipelinesExperience supporting large scale distributed mission systemsExperience developing automation using PowerShell, Python, or C SharpExperience working within classified or air gapped cloud environmentsExperience implementing Zero Trust architecture and identity driven security modelsDemonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex technical problems efficientlyStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across development, infrastructure, and mission teamsOverview of BenefitsCompany Funded 401k Profit Sharing Plan - 25 percent of base pay deposited every pay period - Vested day one of employmentAll Health Care Benefits and Premiums paid by company and with company HSA contributionQuarterly Equity Share Bonuses250 hours of PTO with up to 40 hours available to be carried overBiannual Company Sponsored Events for the employees and their familiesEducation Benefits - Certification reimbursement and tuition reimbursement
