Controls Engineer

Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated Controls Engineer to design, program, commission, and support custom automation systems and machinery. This individual will play a critical role in delivering turnkey solutions, from initial programming and system validation through on-site commissioning and long-term customer support. This is a hands-on engineering role offering strong project ownership, customer interaction, and exposure to complex automation environments.Key Responsibilities Design and develop PLC-based control systems for custom automation equipmentProgram and configure HMI interfaces for operator interaction and diagnosticsIntegrate and program servo systems, cam-driven applications, pneumatic systems, and electrically actuated stationsSupport software validation activities and documentation requirementsExecute and assist with DQ, IQ, and OQ protocols in compliance with GMP and GAMP standardsPerform system commissioning, debugging, and field modifications both in-house and at customer facilitiesCreate, maintain, and update project documentation, technical specifications, and operating manualsReview and interpret electrical schematics; recommend and implement updates as neededCollaborate directly with customers to clarify requirements and troubleshoot technical issuesParticipate in design reviews, installations, and service support activitiesDeliver operator and maintenance training at customer sitesProvide production and system support for installed machines and automation linesServe as the Controls Engineering lead on assigned projects, partnering closely with Project ManagementQualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Electronics, or related field — or equivalent hands-on experience3–5 years of experience in custom automation and industrial control systemsStrong PLC and HMI programming experienceProficiency with Siemens and Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) platforms, including servo motion controlQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
