Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Staff Training and Supervision: Assist in weekly staff scheduling, and time off requests; ensuring both store and food trucks are staffed with both seasoned and seasonal employees. Nurture, motivate, and provide constructive feedback. Train kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, and safety procedures, and maintain consistency across locations and food truck events. Provide guidance on proper handling and dating of food items to minimize waste and ensure freshness. Ensure all food safety standards are followed Customer Care & Cash Management: Ensure all guests have a positive and fulfilling experience at Hometown. Check weekly deposits. Maintaining change in drawer; review and enforce opening and closing drawer procedures. Menu Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure menu items are available and adjust offerings as necessary. Update online menus regularly to reflect current offerings and pricing. Cleaning and Organization: Lead deep cleaning initiatives to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. Restock and organize kitchen supplies and equipment as needed for efficient operation. Ensure the dining room, kitchen, and bathrooms are clean at all times. Preparation & Ordering: Manage online orders and third-party deliveries. Manage daily prep lists to ensure efficient food preparation and minimize waste. Assign prep duties to staff according to daily needs Manage inventory levels, ordering ingredients and supplies as needed to prevent stockouts. Oversee inventory tracking procedures and ensure inventory counts are completed on Sundays. Processing invoices on a weekly basis Food Preparation & Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure food safety and adherence to recipe standards. Overseeing proper product preparation, rotation (FIFO), portioning, cooking and holding times, and refrigeration logs. Ensuring that health and safety standards are followed at all times. Coordinate produce orders, office supplies, and other essential items to support kitchen operations. Required Qualifications: Previous restaurant management or supervisory role is preferred. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and motivate staff. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of inventory management principles and experience with ordering and stock control. Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and consistency in food preparation. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Proficiency in food safety standards and procedures.
