Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board!Why you'll love this job* Responsible for directing all administrative and accounting activities including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Budgets, Operating Plans, Shift Bids, Monthly Spending, and Staffing Levels.* This job is a member of the Hubs & Gateways Team within the Customer Experience Division.What you'll doIdentifies and analyzes major trends and variances from operating plan and other performance areasOversees people movement, RIF and recalls, payroll processing, and leaves of absenceOversees Shift Bids, Vacation Bids, Overtime, Time Duty Limits, Change of Shift, Uniform, Parking and Security Badge AdministrationProduces various reports and strategic analysis relating to manning, lost time, budget, spending, and overtime explaining variancesMonitors spending performance, manpower, operating performance and unit costsServes as the liaison with the Airport for Security Badge and Employee Parking functionsProvides Leadership to Administrative teams responsible for Manning, Payroll, Audits, Cash Deposits & Reconciliations, Hiring and Reductions in ForceOversight of the Lost Time Administration including:Administers the Attendance Control Policy for all TWU/IAM team membersAdministers Attendance for CWA/IBT team membersLeave of Absence and alleged fraud investigationsMaintains Employee Personnel filesPerforms coordination of company-sponsored events and employee recognition programsInterprets and administers local guidelinesManagement of ad hoc projects as requiredAll you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceBachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training5 years of airline operations experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory/management rolePrevious finance or business planning experience or equivalent work experiencePrevious Managerial, Budget, and Auditing experiencePreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience* N/ASkills, Licenses & CertificationsExtensive business, operational, and financial background with experience in assessing business requirements and developing budgetsAbility to function in a high volume multi project environmentKnowledge of airline industryStrong attention to detailAbility to be flexible and adapt in fast changing environmentMust have excellent organizational and planning skillsAbility to lead and motivate employeesAbility to be decisive and able to work under demanding operational conditions in a stressful environmentKnowledge of company policies and proceduresAbility to negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external customers.Ability to identify opportunities for improvement as well as proven success implementing strategic initiatives under time constraintsCapability to digest complex fact scenarios and develop compelling argumentsStrong presentation skillsAbility to fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicableApplicable valid driver's license as required by local authorities, if applicableWhat you'll getFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer:Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
