In this role, you’ll contribute to reliable, secure, and scalable web experiences by designing, building, testing, and supporting full-stack application components, Web APIs, and RESTful services. You’ll collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners to translate priorities into thoughtful technical solutions, using strong problem solving, decision-making, and communication to balance client impact, quality, and delivery.You’ll work in an Agile environment where craftsmanship, curiosity, and adaptability are valued. Your contributions will help improve release reliability through automated testing and DevOps practices, strengthen production health through troubleshooting and performance insights, and support product decisions through meaningful metrics and observability. This is an opportunity to grow your technical skills while helping deliver trading experiences that make a measurable impact for clients and the business.What you haveRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience3+ years of professional software development experienceExperience developing web applications using HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript, and related front-end technologiesExperience with .Net/C# or similar backend object-oriented programming languages to support Backend Development and API deliveryExperience designing, building, or maintaining REST APIs and JSON-based integrationsAbility to write clean, maintainable code and apply Unit Testing to improve software qualityAbility to support the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, release, and production supportStrong Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving skills with the ability to analyze issues, make sound decisions, and support reliable client-facing applicationsAbility to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders through clear Communication and shared ownership of outcomesPreferred QualificationsExperience working in Agile or Scrum team environmentsFamiliarity with DevOps practices, including automated testing, CI/CD concepts, and reliable release processesFamiliarity with cloud platforms or Cloud Services ManagementExperience applying Performance Metrics or Metrics Analysis to understand application health, product usage, or release qualityExperience with financial services, trading applications, or client-facing digital platformsAbility to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining attention to quality, security, scalability, and client impactIn addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.What’s in it for youAt Schwab, you’re empowered to shape your future.
