Summary Redwire Space Missions, LLC has an opportunity for an Associate, Test Engineer at our facility in Littleton, CO. Through continuous innovation and operational excellence our team is using their engineering talents to design and deploy, Power Distribution, Embedded Monitoring and Control, Power Conversion, lighting, and Camera based solutions. These cutting-edge capabilities are helping to revolutionize spaceflight. ResponsibilitiesDevise testing plans, methods, and equipment to assure reliability of product in conjunction with requirementsProvide test area and facility with parameters for testing and specify tests to be performedCompile data and define changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, or new testing requirementsPerform environmental testing of aerospace mechanisms using established procedures. Tests include static load, thermal vacuum, benchtop operation, separation, shock, and vibrationOperate spaceflight hardware and test fixtures using data acquisition system and established proceduresAttach and remove components on spaceflight hardwareInspect mechanical and electrical components after test completionPerform maintenance on test fixturesIdea generation of potential process improvementsAssist with non-conformance investigations Ideal ExperienceBachelors Degree, (Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Science) or related field. With one or more years of relevant experienceExperience designing, developing and implementing test methodsExperience with common aerospace test and assembly and inspection tools. e.g. torque wrenches, load cells, feeler gauges, calipers, multimetersExperience assisting with writing technical work instructions related to Environmental TestingExperience developing test scriptsUnderstanding and experience with quality management systems such as AS9100Excellent manual dexterity, ability to handle small parts such as fasteners as small as #0-80Experience using electronics equipment (e.g. DMMs, power supplies, DAQs, etc.) Desired SkillsStrong technical capability and mechanical inclination, with ability to follow and execute proceduresExperience working in an Aerospace cleanroom environment - preferredUnderstanding of advanced electronic circuitryAbility to work effectively in a team environment as well as autonomouslyAbility to provide intuitive and timely solutions for immediate prototype productionEffective communication abilities, attention to detail and self-motivatedPossess strong problem solving and communication abilitiesHigh standard of quality workmanshipFamiliarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control lawsExcellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills Grow with us as we innovate the next generation capabilities for a new era of space exploration! How We Determine What We Pay (Compensation Philosophy) Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant's level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
