Position The Welder is responsible for working with assemblies, securing and welding metal parts using a pulse welder, operating overhead hoists or cranes, using hand tools appropriate for the job, and reading and interpreting basic blueprints. Responsibility Read and build from blueprints to create quality welds. Ensures all equipment is in good repair, properly set up, and used safely, including mandatory PPE. Operate manual wire feed welders and automatic welders while utilizing appropriate welding adjusting various welding parameters. Weld in various positions: flat, horizontal, vertical, and down. Performs first piece inspections and subsequent inspections as required by standards. Proficiency in reading blueprints, basic mathematics and computation Qualification GED/High School Diploma or equivalent experience Prior MIG welding experience required. Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs. without assistance and in various body positions. Proficiency in reading blueprints; basic mathematics sand computation Ability to apply problem-solving skills. Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
