Lead Finish Carpenter
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Lead Finish Carpenter to install stain-grade interior window trim on a whole-home remodel in Glendale (Verdugo/Montecito Park area). Work includes jamb extensions, square casings, sills, and aprons in clear Radiata Pine with stain-grade fit and finish.
This role is ideal for a finish carpenter who takes pride in clean reveals, tight miters, and consistent quality. Additional interior trim phases may follow based on performance.
Responsibilities
Measure, cut, and install stain-grade trim components
Fabricate and install narrow jamb extensions
Maintain stain-grade quality standards
Coordinate with homeowner/GC on sequencing and site access
Lead a helper if provided (or bring your own)
Keep a clean, safe, organized work area daily
Qualifications
7+ years finish carpentry experience (doors, casing, trim)
Strong experience with stain-grade interior work
Ability to lead and pace a small crew
Proficient with finish tools (miter saw, brad/pin/finish nailers, levels, etc.)
Reliable transportation and punctual work habits
Able to read simple drawings, reveals, and trim standards
Nice to Have
Experience with custom millwork and door sets
Own helper/apprentice or small crew
Cabinetry or built-in experience
Photo portfolio of past work
Compensation
Competitive and based on experience.
