They report directly to the Manager, and work hand in hand to complete tasks throughout the day. They are not afraid of leading by example to set the pace for the rest of the team. Their example is what the rest of the team will look for guidance.Primary ResponsibilitiesKnowing what jobs have come in for sorting from the previous dayUnderstanding differences in sorting process depending on what the job expectsCorrectly segregating the jobs as they come in to keep organizedEnsuring any special instructions that the customer wants is metSeeing that every item which needs weighing and recording is attended toSetting the working pace for getting the jobs done quickly and efficientlyMaintaining a complete understanding of what outbound loads we need to arrange for pickupTalking with the logistics coordinator about local loads for deliveryManaging the supply needs of the warehouseProcessing intercompany trailers efficiently including return supplies and equipmentEnd-of-day reporting and data entry into appropriate systems/softwareMaintaining the compliance standards required in the warehouse for audit purposesAny other duties as assigned by direct manager RequirementsDesired Qualifications2 years of supervisory or team lead experience, preferably in a related waste management fieldCurrent forklift certification or forklift experienceExperience operating a bailerGeneral computer knowledge – Email, working within multiple spreadsheetsAbility to receive direction and execute the plan within the teamAdaptability to changing goals, priorities, or initiativesAbility to walk/stand on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long periods of timeAbility to communicate effectivelyFlexibility to work 4-6 Saturdays a yearCompensationHourly positionMedical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D insurance available after 30 days401(k) plan with company match available after 30 days22 PTO + 2 VTO + 9 paid holidays per yearTerraCycle is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to Diversity, Equality and Inclusion.Note: International candidates must be eligible to work in their country of employment.
