Location: Brookings, ORDepartment: MaintenancePay: $23.83 per hour (after probationary period)Schedule: Day shift | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | 6 days per week | Monday-SaturdayAbout The PositionPacific Wood Laminates is seeking a dependable and self-driven individual to join our Maintenance Department as a Fire Marshal / Janitor. This role plays a key part in supporting plant operations through daily cleaning, supply restocking, and fire prevention efforts. If you take pride in keeping workspaces clean, organized, and safe, and you enjoy being an essential part of a team that keeps things running, consider applying today.Key ResponsibilitiesClean and sanitize restrooms and breakrooms daily Pick up trash and maintain cleanliness across designated plant areas Restock restroom, breakroom, and shop supplies regularly Ensure PPE stations (e.g., earplugs) remain stocked Monitor supply levels and communicate restock needs Empty banding containers and dispose of waste properly Operate a forklift to support various facility needs Conduct daily safety walk-throughs and fire prevention checks Assist with additional duties as assigned by your supervisor QualificationsValid forklift certification or willingness to obtain it Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic Able to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean workspace Ability to follow safety protocols and report concerns promptly Clear communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions Why Join Us?At Pacific Wood Laminates, you’ll be part of a hardworking, safety-focused team that values your contributions.
