Whether you're building your career behind the chair or aspiring to lead in the beauty industry, Pressed Roots provides the tools, training, and culture to help you succeed.And it doesn't stop there...Key ResponsibilitiesPerform expert silk blowouts on all types of textured hair, ensuring flawless results and client satisfactionEducate clients on the art of textured hair care, maintenance techniques, and recommended products to promote hair healthSell add-on services, retail products, and VIP memberships by confidently recommending solutions tailored to each client's needsProvide a luxury client experience through professional and engaging interactions, enhancing their visit with top-tier service, including complimentary mimosas and beveragesMaintain overall studio cleanliness and organization to uphold Pressed Roots' high standards of professionalism and hospitalityRequirementsActive and valid Texas cosmetology license required. Exceptional customer service and communication skills to create a welcoming and luxury experience for clientsStrong styling and finishing techniques, with a focus on silk blowouts and textured hair careHighly motivated, team-oriented, and proactive, with a strong work ethic and a "go-getter" attitudeExperience with the round brush technique is a plus but not requiredAvailability for a committed weekday PM shift and a weekend shift is required. Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods (up to 9 hours) while performing hair servicesAbility to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions, including holding and manipulating blow dryers, round brushes, flat irons, and scissorsAbility to lift and carry objects weighing up to 15 pounds, such as styling tools and product inventoryAbility to reach overhead for styling, cleaning tasks, and retrieving necessary suppliesAbility to bend, stoop, and kneel to access styling tools, assist clients, and maintain overall studio cleanlinessAbility to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detailPressed Roots is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities who can perform the essential functions of this job.
