Production Supervisor

Job DetailsOur client is seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to oversee daily production operations within their Seasoning Department in Springdale, AR. The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising production line operations and employees to ensure customer orders are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards. This role is essential in maintaining smooth production flow, resolving operational issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.The ideal candidate for the Production Supervisor position will demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment. The Production Supervisor must be able to work in a fast-paced setting while coordinating with multiple departments, including Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Human Resources, and Warehouse teams.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily production line operations and production employeesSchedule personnel to meet daily production requirementsPlan and coordinate blending and packaging production activitiesConduct weekly staff meetings and safety meetings with employeesMaintain a safe and organized work environmentImplement, monitor, and enforce company procedures and policiesTrain employees on production processes and scanning systemsMonitor GMPs, sanitation standards, and housekeeping proceduresComplete daily production reports and schedulesAttend daily production meetingsConduct daily pre-operational checklists and scale checksComplete security checklists and assist with food defense auditsParticipate in HACCP and health & safety committee meetingsTroubleshoot blending, batching, and packaging issuesMonitor machine efficiency and product quality standardsRecord employee attendance and work hoursCoordinate with Maintenance regarding equipment repairs and issuesReview and verify employee documentationEnsure proper transfer of finished products into warehouse inventoryAssist with month-end inventory countsRespond to customer service and shipping inquiries regarding schedules and order completionMaintain inventory lot control and production trackingAssist with successful customer, corporate, and regulatory auditsServe as backup for the Production Scheduler and Production Manager as needed QualificationsPrevious supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferredStrong leadership and communication skillsExcellent organizational and problem-solving abilitiesComputer proficiency requiredKnowledge of production operations, safety procedures, and quality standardsAbility to train and motivate employeesSupervisory-related coursework or training preferredAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced and demanding environment Work Environment:Exposure to loud production environments and airborne spice particlesExposure to hot, cold, wet, and humid conditionsStanding and walking on concrete for extended periods of timeClimbing stairs, ladders, and working on elevated surfacesRegular lifting of 50-100 poundsOvertime and extended workweeks may be required during peak production seasons
