Senior Capital Projects Leader Chemical ManufacturingWe are seeking a Senior Capital Projects Leader to drive the execution of large-scale capital projects within its North American operations. This role will lead major projects (>$30MM) supporting chemical manufacturing facilities and strategic expansion initiatives. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring full project lifecycle ownershipfrom conceptual design through commissioning and operational handoff.Key ResponsibilitiesLead cross-functional project teams to execute large capital projects (>$30MM USD).Manage full project lifecycle including:Conceptual design & cost estimationDetailed engineering & funding approvalsProcurement & contractor selectionConstruction & contractor oversightCommissioning, startup & operational turnoverOversee project scope, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.Facilitate feasibility studies and vendor evaluations.Develop Statements of Work (SOW) and technical specifications.Provide executive-level reporting on milestones, risks, and KPIs.Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.Lead and participate in:HAZOPsLOPAMOCPSSRSIS implementationCoordinate across engineering disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and automation teams.QualificationsBachelors Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (Chemical preferred).1520 years of hands-on capital project management experience in chemical manufacturing environments.Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.Strong knowledge of industrial construction and greenfield project execution.Deep understanding of OSHA Process Safety Management systems.Experience managing contractors across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil trades.Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to present to senior stakeholders and steering committees.
