The facility features a modern healthcare environment with EPIC EMR system, dedicated support staff including RN navigators, and a collaborative team of physicians and mid-level providers focused on delivering exceptional patient care.Opportunity:Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - CardiothoracicJob Details:• Provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage in a 95% hospital and 5% office/clinic setting• Full-time 1.0 FTE position serving 100% adult patient population• Handle 5-10 hospital patients per day including 0-3 admissions, 2-7 ICU patients, and 1-2 surgeries• Monday through Friday schedule with call coverage (1-2 weekdays and weekends)• Night call shifts from 5pm to 7am• Required procedures include general cardiovascular/thoracic surgery (open), coronary artery bypass surgery (on pump), and valvular repair/replacement• Preferred procedures include cardiac and aorto-thoracic aneurysm repair, lung resection (including VATS), chest wall procedures, LVAD management, and ventilation management• Manage acute volume/blood pressure issues and central line insertion• Work with EPIC EMR system and collaborate with 2 physicians and 4 mid-level providers• Must have active Washington PA license and cardiothoracic surgery experience in OR and acute care/ICU settings• Clean malpractice and background history highly preferred• Local candidates strongly preferred (no flights)• 6-9 month assignment starting as soon as credentialed• Credentialing timeframe is 3+ monthsCompensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
