Regional Human Resources ManagerLocation: Northern & Central California (Flexible within region)Territory: Bakersfield to Apple Valley; Fresno through Sacramento; Modesto, Stockton, and out to San Jose (SF-based candidates welcome)Travel: High travel required across assigned store fleetThe RoleWe're partnering with a large, multi-unit retail organization to identify a Regional Human Resources Manager to support a high-volume store network across Northern and Central California. This individual will serve as a strategic and hands-on HR partner to field leadership, driving people initiatives that support operational performance, employee engagement, and organizational growth.This is a highly visible role supporting a broad geographic footprint—ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, decentralized environment and enjoys being in the field.What You'll DoPartner closely with Regional and District Leaders to drive HR strategy across a multi-state/region store fleetServe as a trusted advisor on all employee relations matters, ensuring consistency, fairness, and risk mitigationLead investigations and provide guidance on complex employee issuesSupport and execute talent strategies including workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership developmentDrive performance management processes and coach leaders on feedback, accountability, and team effectivenessPartner on recruiting strategy for key field leadership rolesEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws (with strong California exposure)Analyze trends and metrics to inform business decisions and proactively address challengesLead and support change management initiatives across the regionTravel regularly to stores to build relationships, assess team health, and support leadership in real timeWhat We're Looking For5–10+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally within multi-unit retail or field-based environmentsStrong employee relations experience in high-volume, fast-paced organizationsProven ability to influence and coach field leadership (District/Regional level)Experience supporting large, geographically dispersed teamsComfortable operating both strategically and tacticallyStrong working knowledge of California employment lawAbility to travel frequently across the assigned regionWhy This RoleOpportunity to support a large-scale, nationally recognized retail organizationHigh level of autonomy with direct impact on field performance and cultureBroad regional scope with exposure to senior field leadershipFast-moving environment with real opportunity to drive change
