Reports To: Regional Operations ManagerLocation: Atlanta, GAPosition SummaryThe Controls Installation Manager is responsible for leading and managing the low-voltage electrical installation operations for the Atlanta market. This role oversees all field installation activities related to building automation and controls systems, including new construction and retrofit projects.The manager is responsible for field labor planning, installation quality, safety compliance, and project execution while supporting profitable delivery of controls infrastructure. This role works closely with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.Key ResponsibilitiesField Operations Management:Lead the daily operations of thecontrolsinstallation / low-voltage electrical teamManage installation crews performing:Controls conduit and cable installationDevice mounting and panel installationBAS network wiring and terminationsControl panel installation and field wiringPlanmanpowerand labor allocation across multiple projectsCoordinate installation schedules with project managers and construction teamsProject Execution:Ensure installations meet project drawings, specifications, and BAS standardsSupport startup teams by delivering organized, labeled, andproperly installedinfrastructureCoordinate closely with controls technicians and programmersManage installation scope for both:New construction projectsRetrofit and modernization workSafety & Compliance:Enforce company safety standards and jobsite safety protocolsEnsure compliance with:NECLocal electrical codesJobsite safety requirementsLead safety meetings and field inspectionsQuality Control:Ensure high quality installationsincluding:Conduit routing and craftsmanshipCable management and labelingPanel and device mounting standardsConduct field audits and punch list reviewsSupport successful commissioning by delivering clean installationsTeam Leadership:Hire, train, and develop installation electricians and helpersProvide field coaching and mentorshipBuild a scalable installation team aligned with company growthMaintain accountability for productivity and workmanshipFinancial & Operational Performance:Track labor productivity and installation costsSupport project managers inmaintainingproject budgetsIdentifyopportunities to improve efficiency and reduce subcontractor relianceHelp develop installation standards and processesRequired Qualifications7+ years of experience in electrical or low-voltage installationExperience supervising field crews on commercial construction projectsStrong knowledge of:Low-voltage electrical systemsConduit installationControls wiring practicesCommercial construction environmentsAbility to read and interpret:Electrical drawingsControls schematicsConstruction PlansPreferred QualificationsExperience with Building Automation Systems (BAS)Background working with systems such as:Delta ControlsDistech ControlsAlertonElectrical license or equivalent field leadership experienceOSHA 30 certificationExperience managing installation crews across multiple job sitesKey Success MetricsInstallation productivity and labor efficiencyProject schedule performanceSafety performanceInstallation quality and commissioning readinessGrowth and development of installation team
