Shift(s) available: night shift Job types available: full time, part time, and per diem Employer features: 403(B), Cross training, Level 2 trauma center, Medical, Paid Parental Leave, PTO, Retirement Plan QualificationsAssociate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursingActive and unencumbered Registered Nurse license1+ year experience in a mother-baby, postpartum, or labor and delivery setting preferredBLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications from the American Heart AssociationStrong interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathetic patient and family-centered careProficiency in electronic medical record systemsResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns during the postpartum period, monitoring both patients for signs of complicationsAdminister medications as prescribed and perform routine assessments of both maternal and newborn vital signsProvide emotional support and education to new mothers, focusing on: safe, effective infant care, breastfeeding, and self-care post-delivery, while empowering them to care for themselves and their newbornsCollaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and holistic care during and after hospital stayAccurately document maternal and newborn assessments, interventions, and outcomes in line with hospital policies and proceduresBenefitsHealthcare coverage: Medical, Dental, Vision401KPaid Time OffTuition AssistanceSalary: $65,000 to $95,000 /year
