Security Program Manager, Event Security Operations
Overview:
In this remote role, you will lead security programs for large corporate events and physical security operations, focusing on planning, staffing, and coordinating security resources with stakeholders across Microsoft and external partners. You will partner with Global Security, event teams, venues, and vendors to design scalable, risk-aware security plans that protect people, assets, and brand. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, operational leadership at events, and continuous improvement of security processes. You will help shape security operations for high-profile events and work with a global ecosystem to deliver consistent security outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate security planning and staffing for corporate events, conferences, and executive engagements
- Manage contract security staffing, access control, venue security, and third-party services
- Conduct venue security assessments and advance planning with stakeholders and providers
- Develop event-specific security plans, post orders, and communications protocols
- Provide onsite security coordination and operational leadership for designated events
- Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders during planning and execution
- Conduct post-event reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future operations
- Develop scalable event security processes and documentation for consistent execution across locations
- Provide program management support for physical security operations and related initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align security with business objectives
Key requirements:
- 4+ years in security program or program management or related field OR equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting or managing event security operations in a corporate or complex environment
- International travel ability (25-50%)Experience coordinating contract security providers and third-party security vendors
