Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and well-rounded Tax Professional to join a well-established team in a key client-facing role. This position requires a strong technical foundation in tax law, the ability to manage complex tax engagements, and a consultative approach to client service. The ideal candidate will bring both compliance expertise and strategic insight to support individuals and businesses year-round.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and review a wide range of federal and state tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, and other complex filingsLead the review process to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to current tax laws and regulations Provide proactive tax planning strategies and advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigationServe as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing advanced and complex tax questions with clarity and professionalismManage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met in a fast-paced environmentResearch and interpret evolving tax laws and regulations, applying findings to client situationsCollaborate with internal teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and efficient workflowMaintain detailed and organized documentation to support all filings and recommendationsQualifications:CPA preferred; equivalent experience will be considered5–10 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or a similar environmentComprehensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirementsStrong experience reviewing returns and preparing complex tax filingsDemonstrated ability to take a consultative, client-focused approach Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to clientsHigh level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detailWork Schedule:Full-time, year-round positionAbility to work extended hours during tax season (55–65 hours per week, Monday– Friday)Compensation & Benefits:Competitive salary starting at $75,000+, based on experiencePaid Time Off (PTO)401(k) retirement planEmployer-supported certifications and continuing education
