Unit Safety Manager 3

Role OverviewSodexo is seeking a Unit Safety Manager to support a large life sciences client in Rahway, NJ. This role is responsible for leading the implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs across the site. You will work closely with HSE leadership and cross-functional teams to drive a strong, zero-harm safety culture. The position ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while supporting operational excellence initiatives. This is a highly visible, fully on-site role requiring strong collaboration, auditing expertise, and proactive risk management. The ideal candidate brings both strategic insight and hands-on safety leadership in a regulated environment. What You'll DoLead the deployment and execution of HSE programs, policies, and initiatives to support a zero-harm safety cultureConduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and local regulationsAnalyze safety data, incident trends, and root causes to implement corrective and preventive actionsSupport regulatory inspections and investigations, serving as a subject matter expert during audits and compliance reviewsFacilitate HSE meetings, training sessions, and employee education programs to promote safety awarenessPartner with site leadership to develop risk registers, monitor KPIs, and deliver HSE performance reportingWhat We OfferCompensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience.
