Director Of MarketingWe're looking for a Director of Marketing who's equal parts strategist and operator — someone who builds smart plans, executes quickly, and improves performance with data. You'll lead marketing across the Ballast Point brand and our four tasting rooms, owning the channel mix, calendar, creative direction, and budget to drive traffic, revenue, and brand growth.What You'll DoOwn the marketing plan across the Ballast Point brand and four tasting rooms: strategy, channel mix, timing, and budget tied to business goalsDevelop market-specific plans in partnership with General Managers to drive foot traffic and revenueLead go-to-market planning and execution for new beer releases, seasonal launches, and limited dropsProtect and evolve the Ballast Point brand voice, look, and feel across all channels and locationsManage public relations partners, including PR strategy, approvals, and coordination for launches and key brand momentsBuild, manage, and optimize paid media campaigns across Meta, Google, and local publishersOwn CRM, loyalty, and guest retention strategies via Toast and MailchimpOwn website content and accuracy (menus, events, tasting room pages) using WordPress/ElementorOversee brand presence on Yelp, Google, OpenTable, and other guest-facing platformsLead content creation including photography, video, and copywriting across campaigns and channelsManage and mentor the Social Media Coordinator; guide influencer and UGC strategyOwn the marketing budget, track performance, and report results to leadership with insights and recommendationsWho You Are- 5–7 years of hands-on, multi-channel marketing experience- Strong strategic planner with proven execution skills- Excellent writer with strong creative judgment- Comfortable collaborating with designers and external partners- Experience with Meta Ads, Google Ads, Mailchimp, Toast, WordPress, and related tools- Experience marketing across multiple locations or markets- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and calm under pressure- Beer, beverage, or hospitality experience strongly preferred- San Diego–based with the ability to travel to tasting room markets as needed
