Working under direction from the Plant Manager and/or General Manager seeks to optimizes workflow and efficiency and meet production goals and profitability objectives. Manages staff to ensure safe, standardized, and efficient processing of soiled garments/products: wash and dry aisle; dryer offloading, sorting and bundling, and processing of product for storage or delivery. Monitors production levels and proactively adjusts to ensure product output levels are met in a safe, timely, cost-effective manner, and in line with quality standards. Builds and maintains positive working relationships with Market Center Management team and keeps them informed of production issues. Leverages resources of Operations Support team as needed to address and overcome production issues.Essential Job Tasks and ActivitiesTypical tasks and activities for this job include but are not limited to the items listed below. Additional duties may be assigned from time to time as needed by management.SafetyEnsure the market center is consistent in its management and application of safety tasks and activities.Production Management Manage the day-to-day production activities at Market Center. Ensure processing takes place in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner. Activities to be managed include, but are not limited to:Receiving and soil sorting/classificationWash aisleGarment Finishing / SortationAllied FinishingBundling and distributionCreates and supports a culture of adherence to market center standardization in support of safety, financial, quality, and service goals.Work with market center management, identify and implement systems and methods that will improve safety, operating efficiency consistent with operating goals, and cost constrains guidelines.Production Data and Performance Measures Use production data to ensure production/facilities type activities are contributing to the achievement of market center financial objectives.Production Team Oversight and Development Responsible for the hiring, placement, and removal of production staff within market center. Consults and works with management on the best action to take in regards to production staffing.Market Center and Corporate Support Create and support a culture of adherence to corporate standardization in support of safety, production, quality, and financial goalsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesManages the day-to-day activities of production supervisors and production staff.Works with manager, General Manager and HR for approval on the appointment, demotion, and termination of any assigned personnel prior to notification with the employee.Required QualificationsMinimum Education/Experience: Post-secondary education (two-years suggested) in Management or Industrial/Mechanical Engineering/Technology, business or related discipline or equivalent business/work experience2-4 years' experience in a corporate production environment with management experience included.Proven track record of increasing responsibility with documented business resultsProven ability to build effective professional relationships cross-departmentally within a market center and corporate functional departments.BENEFITS: Vestis offers a wide array of comprehensive benefit programs and services including medical, dental, vision, and work/life resources to our benefits-eligible salaried Vestis employees. Salary eligible benefits vary by location and are subject to any legal requirements or limitations, employee eligibility status, and where the employee lives and/or works.COMPENSATION: The salary rate for this position ranges from $77,500 to $90,000, depending on circumstances including an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Vestis good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.
