Temporary HR Assistant Washington DC Law national corporate environmental law firm, is seeking a temp HR Assistant. The HR Assistant (temp) supports the talent and human resources department by assisting with onboarding, benefits enrollment, employee records management, offboarding, and HR administrative processes. This role ensures efficient HR operations and provides support to employees and management. The role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling a high volume of administrative responsibilities in a professional law firm environment. This would be great for a recent college graduate interested in HR. Salary: $24.00 hourlyStart: ASAP-end of AugustStatus- Hybrid- 3 days in office, 2 days remoteResponsibilities: Assist with new hire onboarding and employee paperwork, distributing, ensuring accuracy, and gathering completed information. Assist with benefits onboarding and enrollment administration, including commuter and wellness benefit programs. Maintain employee files and HR records. Support HR inbox management and respond to routine inquiries with guidance. Prepare and distribute employee communications and notices. May send out other monthly reports as needed. Track onboarding and offboarding documentation. Assist with scheduling, data entry, and reporting tasks. Provide general administrative support to the HR team Qualifications: 1+ year of administrative or HR support experience preferred Bachelors Degree required Strong organizational and communication skills Exceptional organizational and time-management skills that reflect the ability to seamlessly perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail and efficiently meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Suite (or equivalent software). Ability to work in a collaborative environment and to work harmoniously and effectively with others as part of a team. Excellent oral and written communication, analytic, and problem-solving skills. Discretion and professionalism together with a positive attitude complemented by a flexible, proactive, and resourceful approach This is a temporary, full-time position with standard business hours of 9:00 am to 5:30 pm and a 37.5 hour work week.
