General Role Description*****We are seeking open job position(s) for both Structural Engineer and Structural Design Tech (EIT)/Designer, full-time, to join our on-site team at our office in either Abingdon, VA or Johnson City, TN. ****In this role, pending Structural Engineer or Structural Design Tech/Designer, you may be responsible for performing structural calculations, conducting structural analyses, and designing solutions for various projects. You will collaborate with architects and project teams, develop construction documents using advanced CAD software, and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards. Individual will also contribute to problem-solving and structural engineering efforts from initiation through completion.QualificationsIf Structural Engineer: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering; Proficiency in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering principles; Experience and highly competent in performing Structural Analysis and Calculations; Professional Engineering (P.E.) license (preferred licensure in TN/VA - if not, but be able to obtain if hired).If EIT: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering; Experience in performing Structural Analysis and Calculations; progress towards Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensureAll Candidates: Skill in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and proficiency with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Tekla Structural Designer; Strong understanding of safety and compliance standards related to building codes; Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; Experience with commercial structural design, familiarity with historic renovations is a plusThis posting is provided for informational purposes only and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of qualifications, responsibilities, duties, or requirements associated with the position.
