Laborer

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting various warehouse operations, including inventory management, materials handling, and shipping and receiving tasks. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes for loading and unloading materials. Manage inventory control processes, ensuring accurate tracking of stock levels using warehouse management systems. Perform picking and packing duties for order fulfillment, utilizing RF scanners for efficiency. Assist in the stocking of shelves and organization of warehouse space to optimize workflow. Conduct shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all incoming and outgoing materials are properly documented. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency. Engage in heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are followed to prevent injury. Requirements Previous warehouse experience is preferred; familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus. Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and cranes is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge and skills related to materials handling and packaging processes. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and standing for extended periods. Knowledge of safety protocols related to warehouse operations, including OSHA standards. Experience with order picking, shipping & receiving, and order fulfillment processes is beneficial. Familiarity with AS400 systems or similar software is an advantage.
