SLS/SOCOTEC is seeking curious, dependable, and proactive learners focused on continuous improvement to join our team. We're looking for someone with a strong background in the design or inspection of mechanical systems and life safety systems such as fire alarm, fire protection and smoke control for Florida buildings. Experience in commissioning and field inspections of buildings systems is a plus.Responsibilities: Consult on project specific requirements and basis of design documentsReview HVAC design documentation including drawings, specifications, and controls sequencesReview Smoke control approachesPerform submittal reviewsDocument and maintain well written reports on project related activities Communicate effectively and establish relationships with clients and job-related management teamsProviding cross-functional support to ensure client needs and internal timelines/project activities are completedMaintain detailed documents and progression of work from initial proposal through completionPresent project related technical information to clients and design teamsOccasional presentation of white papercase studies to in-house technical teamsAttend in-house seminars and scheduled team meetingsMaintain established utilization levelsSupport junior technicians or entry level staffField verify life safety systems is installed as per the drawings and specificationsPerform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or managerQualificationsBS in Mechanical Engineering or Fire Protection Engineering is preferred At least 5+ years of industry experience Licensed PE in the state of Florida is preferred but not required.
