This is New Construction Power PlantAs a Pipefitter Apprentice Helper for our Bison Project in Ray, North Dakota, you will contribute to our team by: Safe use of hand & power tools (trained and proficient to operate as required by PCL, the manufacturer, client and or government requirements). Work safely always and promote safety to others around you. Accountable for all personal and assigned company tools and project materials. Strong working knowledge of and experience working with piping systems. Interpret and understand piping isometrics, orthographic, P&ID’s, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the proper layout, configuration, and orientation of piping components. Assist supervisor as needed in assuring all required PCL and client documents, forms and other paperwork is completed accurately and obtain approvals as necessary. Examples include Quality and Safety documents. Participate in all health, safety, environmental and quality programs and processes. Sufficient math knowledge and skills as related to the job tasks. Basically, ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and fractions rapidly and accurately, and apply such formulas related to pipefitting. Able to set up and use oxygen/acetylene torch equipment, as well as pipe beveling and threading equipment. Knowledge of control valves, check valves, and relief valves related to the removal, handling, and proper installation. Be able to assemble and disassemble piping systems during construction, maintenance, or repair projects. They may need to remove and replace damaged pipes, valves, or fittings. Knowledge of the proper methods to pre-heat various materials/alloys in preparation for cutting, welding, and post-weld treatment.What You Will Bring To The RoleMust have 37-47 minimal hands-on experience within craftMust have work experience in petrochemical, power plant or Oil and Gas refineryMust Meet Pre-requirements Drug And Alcohol TestMust have OSHA 10 or OSHA 30PCL is an innovative, safety-oriented company comprised of people who find passion in their profession and take pride in doing great work everyday.
