You'll be inventing the assessments — real PCB layouts, schematic puzzles, circuit analysis under pressure, that will separate engineers who talk a good game from ones who can actually ship. You'll sit across the table from directors and VPs at leading deeptech companies, and build the taxonomy that defines what "great EE" means at scale.What you'll do:Design scenario-based assessments (PCB design, schematic design, circuit analysis) for space & defense, robotics, and manufacturing clientsManage a team of EE contractors and internsWork directly with engineering leadership at top deeptech companiesBuild a foundational taxonomy of EE skills from the ground upShape product direction alongside the founder and mechanical engineerWhat you bring:4-10 years in electrical engineering, ideally at a Series D+ space & defense companyHands-on with Altium, KiCad, Cadence, OnShape or similarComfort moving between deep technical work and strategic conversations with senior stakeholdersDetails:📍 Hybrid — Mission Bay, San Francisco💰 $130K-$200K base + competitive equity🛂 Open to visa transfers (OPT/H1B)🚀 Early-stage team (10 people), building from scratch
