Tired of being one Electrical Engineer among fifty on someone else's roadmap? Our client is building the platform that helps the world's top space, defense, and robotics companies hire their next generation of engineers, and they need the first EE in the building to help shape it. This isn't a "design widgets and wait for sign-off" job. You'll be inventing the assessments — real PCB layouts, schematic puzzles, circuit analysis under pressure, that will separate engineers who talk a good game from ones who can actually ship. You'll sit across the table from directors and VPs at leading deeptech companies, and build the taxonomy that defines what "great EE" means at scale.
What you'll do:
- Design scenario-based assessments (PCB design, schematic design, circuit analysis) for space & defense, robotics, and manufacturing clients
- Manage a team of EE contractors and interns
- Work directly with engineering leadership at top deeptech companies
- Build a foundational taxonomy of EE skills from the ground upShape product direction alongside the founder and mechanical engineer
What you bring:
- 4-10 years in electrical engineering, ideally at a Series D+ space & defense company
- Hands-on with Altium, KiCad, Cadence, OnShape or similar
- Comfort moving between deep technical work and strategic conversations with senior stakeholders
