Job Description Introduction:Four Corners Welding & Gas Supply is one of the largest regional independently owned and operated Welding, Industrial, Specialty, and Medical Gases distributors in the Southwestern U.S., with locations in Gallup and Milan, (NM) Cortez and Durango, (CO). In this role, you will primarily be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of hard goods/welding supplies, medical and specialty gases, supporting our bulk delivery operations to customers in industries such as hospitals and food service.Education & Experience Requirements:Required: High School or equivalentDriving Experience: Minimum 1 YearRequired: Current Class A CDL License Required: Medical examiner certification Required: Hazmat endorsementRequired: English language and comprehension Key Responsibilities and Duties:Operate company-owned trucks to facilitate shipping and receiving operationsLoads and unloads cylinders using proper handling procedures and equipment Transport and deliver compressed gas cylinders and cryogenic liquidsMaintains a complete and accurate shipping manifestAssisting with pumping oxygen, CO2 cylinders and transfilling other cylindersEnsure cargo is properly secured for transport Perform pre/post-trip inspections and ensure DOT complianceCommunication with dispatch and managementCompletes paperwork such as delivery logs, mileage records, and fuel receiptsPerforms basic vehicle maintenance, including refueling and cleaningMaintain all required certification required by DOT and OSHA Safe work practices and use of personal protective equipment Clear communication and foster a cohesive and collaborative work cultureExceptional customer service by maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, acknowledging all customers promptlyProtects the company's value by keeping proprietary information confidentialComply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulationsPerforms additional duties as assigned by managementSupervisory Responsibility:This position does not have supervisory dutiesPhysical Demands:The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.This role requires frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, squatting, pushing, pulling, reaching (including above shoulder level), gripping, and carrying. Employees must be able to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, and manipulate objects, as well as perform keyboarding tasks. Climbing stairs is required. The position requires the ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds and to push or pull cylinders with appropriate equipment. Work conditions may include exposure to dust, extreme weather conditions, and cryogenic liquids and gases. Drivers handle early loads and return home at the end of each day. Start times may vary and typically begin in the early morning, depending on the delivery schedule. Workdays may range from 8 to 12 hours.The work environment is a dynamic retail setting with continuous customer interaction. Pay Rate: $20 - $22.50Employment with Gallup Welder Supply is on an at-will basis.
