We're committed to innovation, and your expertise in hardware, networking, and troubleshooting will help us continue to deliver excellence to our global clients.Apply today and be a part of the future of cloud computing with Servers.com!This is a permanent, full-time, on-site (Dallas, TX) position paying $20 - $24 per hour.Responsibilities:Decommissioning hardwareDestruction of data on reclaimed devicesTrack inventory and maintain accurate recordkeepingTest and troubleshoot hardwarePerform audits of datacenter infrastructureMonitor incoming tickets, chats, and alerts. Provide initial hands-on responseCheck IP status on RBLs and process as neededAssembly, troubleshooting, and configuration of servers, firewalls, switches, etc. Installing various operating systems and applying base configurationsCommunicating with customers via telephone, chat, and email to provide exceptional supportPerform hardware firmware upgrades, and learn new hardware platformsRack servers, install cabling, and assist with other infrastructure needsDeploy complex, highly available infrastructure and servicesAssist with additional duties as instructed by leadership/senior techs on the teamSkills, Competencies, and Qualifications:1+ years relevant experienceSolid working knowledge of computer hardwareExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExemplary organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent diagnostic skillsProven customer service acumenSolid working knowledge of various Linux distributionsExperience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the LAMP stackBasic experience with Windows ServerBasic networking knowledgeUnderstanding of different RAID configurationsAbility to setup and configure various operating systemsAbility to appropriately set up and decommission hardware within the constraints of the data centerWe Offer:100% Employer paid Benefits options - Medical, Dental, Vision, PrescriptionTraditional and Roth 401k with company matchingFun employer-sponsored eventsA collaborative team cultureConsistent/set work hoursChallenging non-redundant daily dutiesA voice in how things get doneAccess to ongoing trainingDisclaimer:This job description is only a summary of the typical functions of the position.
