Job Description As a Security Officer -Armed Water Plant in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will complete routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns as they arise. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts and emergency partners, and deliver helpful customer service. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or suspicious conditions. Monitor access points and restricted areas, verifying identification and/or authorization as required, and direct visitors to appropriate locations in accordance with site rules. Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and coordinate with site personnel and/or emergency responders as needed. Complete accurate reports and logs such as patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to the Allied Universal supervisor and/or site contacts.Minimum Requirements: A minimum of 1+ years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required. Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED. Be 21+ years of age. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. Possess a guard card.
