We are seeking highly motivated Locum Nurse Practitioners skilled in General Medicine to support Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) across California. This role offers flexible, part-time opportunities to perform vital Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, contributing to the wellbeing of those who served our country. Make a positive impact while enjoying competitive pay and the convenience of flexible scheduling.Required Skills: Valid Nurse Practitioner license in California Proven experience in general medicine, family medicine, or internal medicine Ability to conduct interview-based assessments and physical exams including range of motion and muscle strength testing Strong communication skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently in a clinical setting Willingness to perform non-treatment examinations with no prescribing responsibilitiesNice to Have Skills: Previous experience with Compensation & Pension examinations or veterans healthcare Orthopedic or musculoskeletal assessment experience Familiarity with federal and state healthcare guidelinesPreferred Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program At least 1 year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner Prior experience in military or veteran healthcare is a plusOther Requirements: Own office location (for providers working from their own practice) Ability to work on a PRN basis, with flexibility for 4-hour or 8-hour shifts Must reside within specified radius of work sites or be willing to travel Willingness to complete required training and administrative follow-up No reimbursements for certifications or portal training expenses prior to startThis is an excellent opportunity to work in a flexible, impactful capacity supporting our veterans.
