Field Technician - Travel

Pay Rate: $35.50 per hour.Field Technician/Engineer Roles:Knowledge of installation and configuration on Ciena 6500 Ability to run, terminate, and dress DC power & ground cabling (2awg maximum size, typically 6awg, 8awg, and 10awg at most locations)Runs utilize existing ladder rack and must balance quality expectations with existing site conditions (our Field Engineer will be able to provide relevant guidance and make judgement calls as needed). Insulated tools required (can be provided if otherwise great tech)Ability to terminate DC power cabling in energized BDFBCustomer has zero downtime requirement. Insulative barriers provided to the team as PPEAbility to run, terminate, and dress CAT5, T1 (16 pair), and alarm (4 pair) cableRJ-45, DSX panel wire wrapping, DIN rail mounted terminal blocks for termination stylesAbility to understand engineering design package/CAD drawings Ability to neatly place labels on power/datacom/fiberAbility to adapt to changing site conditionsCustomer sites range from data center to substation to mountain top radio hutAbility to work safely around live equipmentCustomer has zero downtime requirement, many sites have equipment that's been in service for 15+ years and is sensitive to disturbancesAbility to work safely using step laddersAbility to install and modify fiber raceway2.5x2.5" vertical and horizontal ducts used throughout the project, some sites require modification to add down spouts, extensions, etc.Ability to follow directions and work both collaboratively and with little oversight during certain tasks (LR Lead will always be on site with them)Ability to work with purpose and meet schedule requirements (typically 2-5 days will be spent per site)Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally Must have OSHA-10 certificationMust have Cat 2 FR clothing, Type 1 hardhat, steel-toed boots, cut-resistant gloves, and safety glasses to be onsiteMust have clean background check and ability to obtain federal clearance (I don't think we will need them to go through the process based on our current experience, but the individuals should be able to meet NERC-CIP access requirements)
