Maintenance Reliability Engineer

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE5–10 years of experience in mechanical or reliability engineering within a manufacturing environmentStrong mechanical aptitude with a focus on equipment reliability and performance (mechanical emphasis over electrical)Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering disciplineAbility to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and schematics, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and coolant systemsComfortable working 5:30 AM -2:30 PM (6 AM - 2 PM), working 2/4 weekends both Saturday & SundayNICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEExperience in automotive manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with CNC machining processes and equipmentWorking knowledge of CAD softwareExperience with SAP or similar ERP systemsJOB DESCRIPTIONThis is a highly technical, engineering-focused role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Maintenance & Reliability Engineer serves as a key problem solver and subject matter expert. Will be the lead over 2 other engineers. Stepping onto the plant floor, the engineer may encounter multiple machines down and must rapidly assess priorities, determine where engineering expertise will have the greatest impact, and support skilled trades with advanced technical guidance. This includes diving into complex machine schematics, analyzing failure points, and developing effective solutions to quickly restore equipment and reduce downtime. The role requires strong root cause analysis skills, the ability to manage ongoing escalations and maintenance requests, and a focus on closing performance gaps to improve overall reliability. In addition to reactive support, the engineer plays a critical role in continuous improvement efforts leveraging data, identifying trends, and implementing engineering-driven solutions that enhance long-term equipment performance and operational efficiency.
