Land Surveying Supervisor

We’re a tight-knit, fast-paced team that values accountability, communication, and professionalism.Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Surveying Supervisor with a current Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license to lead our surveying department. This position oversees all survey operations — from field data collection to final deliverables — ensuring precision, efficiency, and compliance with professional standards.You’ll manage field crews, review and sign plats, coordinate with engineers, and play a key role in maintaining our firm’s reputation for quality and reliability.Key Responsibilities:Supervise survey crews and oversee daily field operations.Conduct surveys to determine property boundaries.Review and certify boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.Research legal records, survey records, and land titles to understand the context of a land area.Manage scheduling, project timelines, and survey budgets.Draft and oversee new project quotes. Perform QA/QC on field data and plats before delivery.Train and mentor field staff to maintain consistent accuracy and safety.Collaborate closely with engineers and drafters to ensure data alignment.Maintain survey equipment and ensure proper calibration and care.Support project proposals and client communication as needed.Qualifications & Skills:Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Louisiana — required.Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, GPS, and total station workflows.Proven leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to interpret and analyze complex data and legal documents. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
