Base Pay Range
$40.00/hr - $45.00/hr
Position
Crop Science Process Engineer (Contract)
Main Purpose
Responsible for primary operational and technical day to day direction, troubleshooting and process optimization for assigned unit.
Serves as the process knowledgeable person and plant representative for design, construction and implementation of capital projects interfacing with technical professionals from other disciplines, sites and technical experts in central Bayer departments (Facilities, PCS and Project Engineering, Environmental Operations, Process Development, etc.).
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other engineering discipline or sciences
BS 6+ years of experience
MS 4+ years of experience
PhD 2+ years of experience
Above years of experience in process measurement and applications in a manufacturing, industrial or engineering environment plus
Knowledge of chemical processes to effectively analyze, make recommendations and provide resolution to complex problems.
Ability to lead small groups of people as well as to work independently.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills in both technical and non-technical areas.
Knowledgeable of RCRA hazardous waste regulations, waste determinations, waste codes, and how to immediately communicate discovery of spills and leaks; know labeling, inspection, and recordkeeping requirements to accumulate waste in: satellite accumulation areas, containers, and tanks.
