This role will partner closely with Sales Operations, Finance, Product, and Engineering to architect scalable, reliable, and automated CPQ solutions that improve quoting accuracy, accelerate deal velocity, and support complex product configurations.The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands on technologist who thrives in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & Solution DesignLead the end to end architecture, design, and technical strategy for Salesforce CPQ and related Revenue Operations systems.Translate business requirements into scalable, best practice CPQ solutions using Salesforce native capabilities and minimal custom code.Create technical design documents, data models, integration specs, and configuration standards.Implementation & ConfigurationOwn complex CPQ configurations including product rules, pricing methods, quote templates, approval workflows, and guided selling.Implement advanced pricing strategies such as discount schedules, contracted pricing, usage-based pricing, and multi-tier bundles.Ensure CPQ is optimized for performance, maintainability, and user experience.Cross-Functional CollaborationServe as the CPQ subject-matter expert to Sales, Finance, Product, and RevOps teams.Partner with internal and external developers to build integrations with ERP, billing, CLM, and custom apps.Lead discovery workshops, user story refinement, and architectural reviews.Governance & QualityEstablish and uphold CPQ configuration standards, documentation, and change management practices.Oversee design reviews, regression testing, and release management in a multi-org environment.Troubleshoot complex issues across CPQ, Salesforce core, and external integrations.Required Qualifications7+ years of Salesforce experience, with at least 4 years dedicated to Salesforce CPQ (formerly SteelBrick).Proven track record architecting and implementing large-scale CPQ solutions in complex enterprise environments.Deep expertise with CPQ product rules, pricing methods, discount strategies, bundles, quote templates, and approval workflows.Experience integrating CPQ with ERP, billing, and contract lifecycle management systems.Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, Apex triggers, flows, APIs, and declarative automation.Salesforce CPQ Specialist or CPQ Advanced Certification (highly preferred).Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Salesforce Billing or Revenue Cloud.Familiarity with tools like Conga/DocuSign, Mulesoft, or Boomi.Prior experience in manufacturing, SaaS, subscription, or multi-product environments.Background leading CPQ implementations or major re-architectures.What You'll BringA passion for simplifying complex product configurations.A strong architectural mindset focused on scalability and long-term maintainability.The ability to collaborate, influence, and drive alignment across teams.Proactive problem solving and meticulous attention to detail.
