Position SummaryUnder limited supervision, the Custodian is responsible for cleaning and maintaining buildings, ensuring the areas are neat, tidy, and sanitary. The role also includes catering for special events, ensuring the preparation of meals and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.Department: AdministrationLocation: Yuma, AZJob StatusFull-TimeReports to: Facility ManagerEssential Duties And ResponsibilitiesSweep and mop floors.Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces.Clean and disinfect bathrooms and restrooms using appropriate cleaning solutions.Dust furniture and wipe down desks and filing cabinets.Clean and service restrooms, maintaining sanitation with mops and disinfectants.Clean refrigerators and common areas.Plan meals, purchase groceries, and prepare food for company luncheons and dinners.Maintain an orderly, sanitary, and safe kitchen environment.Identify and report potential repairs in the building or facilities.Required Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesPrior experience in cooking and catering is necessary.Ability to handle cleaning equipment and solutions safely.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks within deadlines.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.One (1) year of experience in building maintenance or equivalent combination of training and experience.A valid Arizona driver’s license is required.Physical DemandsFrequent need to stand, stoop, walk, and perform similar physical activities during the course of the workday.Gowan Group promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment through mandatory pre-employment drug testing.
