The client has approximately 10,000 employees working at over 350 locations across the continent.Requirements / Who we are looking for:Our client is seeking a Network Engineer who will be part of multiple projects to standardize the company's remote and core sites. We are looking for a Network Engineer to design, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. This role will be part of a network infrastructure team responsible for the design and development of scalable, highly-available network architectures. Our ideal candidate will be organized, detail-focused, and able to thrive in a team-oriented environment. Communication and interpersonal skills are a must. The candidate must have in-depth, hands-on technical skills ranging from firewalls, routers and switches, virtualization and cloud technologies, and security frameworks with extensive experience configuring and managing software and hardware related to LANs and WANs. The candidate must be able to travel to the US and some Canadian sites. Travel will vary based on projects.BS/BA degree or comparable experienceCisco CCNA at a minimum, CCNP preferredFortinet NSE 4 preferredITIL Foundation certifiedMinimum of 5+ years’ experience in IT network infrastructure in a large scaleenterprise with hands-on networking experienceMinimum of 5 years’ experience with network administrationMust be able to understand internal/external customer perspectives whenexecuting project and operational responsibilitiesExperience with supporting remote office environmentsExperience with leading infrastructure projects (Cloud, network, storage, etc.)Demonstrated in-depth knowledge in each of the following technologies orservice areas:Network routing and switching, Cisco ASA, FTD, FMC, IPS/IDS, wireless controller configurations and AP deployment best practicesWorking experience with DMVPN with zone based firewall deploymentsAdvanced knowledge of Cisco and Fortinet technologiesA good understanding of SD-WAN architectures with deployment experience a plusExpert knowledge of IPv4 TCP/IP subnetting and understanding of IPv6Rich experience designing and understanding Cisco network deviceconfiguration with working knowledge of Fortinet, Juniper, SonicWall, Palo Alto considered a plusDeep understanding of dynamic routing protocols particularly OSPF,EIGRP & BGP with working experience with route redistribution and performance routingCloud computing (AWS, GCP & OCI) experience a plusNetwork Management Tools such as Solarwinds Suite and Nagios a plusControl Network (SCADA) experience a plusFundamental understanding of risk management and auditsAbility to create/maintain artifacts in response to auditsMeticulous commitment to document all network configurationsLucid diagraming toolsWorks effectively with othersIdentifies problems, involves others in seekingsolutions, conducts appropriate analyses, searches for best solution andresponds quickly to new challengesUpholds personal and professional ethics and values, takesinto account the values of the organization and respecting the culture,beliefs and abilities of individualsTeamwork with a proven record of accomplishment for delivering desiredoutcomes while fostering a culture of collaborationWell organized, detail oriented with an ability to effectively prioritizeGood verbal and written communication skills for a wide variety of audiencesSolid decision making ability and flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid changeDemonstrated ability to set a positive exampleShould possess a high energy level, sense of urgency, decisiveness and an ability to work well under pressurePerformance Objectives / What you'll be doing:Lead infrastructure-related projects.
