Senior Software Engineer – Cloud & Network Integration

Overview In this role, you will contribute to the Vision NEXT platform, Fiserv’s cloud-native card issuing and payment processing system. You’ll act as a technical resource for development, integration, and client implementations across LATAM. You’ll build and support REST and event-driven integrations, APIs, and real-time processing on AWS, collaborating with cross-functional teams. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and implement software for the Vision NEXT platformDevelop and support REST and event-driven integrations (RabbitMQ, webhooks) with retry and idempotency patternsCreate and support integrations using APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecturesBuild API test automation with RestAssured, Karate, and Postman/NewmanTroubleshoot complex application, connectivity, and production issuesCollaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams for platform stabilityParticipate in code reviews to enforce standards, security, and best practicesSupport cloud-native applications in AWS environmentsMonitor performance and perform root cause analysis for application and network issues Key requirements6+ years of software development experience3+ years with Java, C#, C++, or similar OO languagesHands-on with REST and event-driven integrations (RabbitMQ, webhooks) and retry/idempotency patterns2+ years developing or supporting apps in AWS, Azure, or GCPExperience with APIs, microservices, and distributed architecturesKnowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, firewalls, load balancing, SSL/TLS)Experience troubleshooting performance, connectivity, and integration issuesBilingual in Spanish or PortugueseBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experiencestrong communicationproblem-solvingcollaborationREST and event-driven integrationsRabbitMQwebhooks
