Project Manager (Contract) Advanced Data AnalyticsRole Type: Full-time contract with potential to convert; 1-year term with strong likelihood of renewalLocation: New York, NY; in office at least 3 days/weekOur Client is a leading independent financial advisory firm serving clients on high-stakes strategic and capital markets matters.This role falls under "Corporate Global Technology AI, Data & AnalyticsWe are seeking a hands-on Project Manager to drive execution across a fast-paced Advanced Data Analytics portfolio delivering data science, machine learning, and AI-enabled tools. This role requires strong day-to-day project management in a product-oriented environment, bringing structure, visibility, and follow-through without adding unnecessary process.The PM will manage concurrent workstreams from prototype through production, maintain portfolio visibility, run team operating cadence, track risks and decisions, and communicate status clearly to both technical teams and business stakeholders. The role works closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and front-office partners, and reports to the D&A Program Management Lead.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain a current view of portfolio priorities, statuses, dependencies, and in-flight initiativesBuild and manage lightweight project plans across multiple AI, ML, and analytics workstreamsTrack delivery from POC and pilot through production, ensuring sequencing, handoffs, and blockers are managedRun team meetings and working sessions; capture decisions, actions, and follow-upsMaintain RAID logs and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies early with clear optionsCoordinate across technical teams and business stakeholders to keep delivery alignedProduce concise, accurate status reporting for senior stakeholdersSupport intake and prioritization as portfolio demand growsMust-Have Skills / Qualifications5+ years of Project Management experience on complex cross-functional initiativesStrong experience in agile or hybrid delivery environmentsHands-on ownership of PM tools and cadence: project plans, RAID logs, status reports, and meeting managementExperience supporting data, analytics, or technology product initiativesAbility to work effectively with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders without being deeply technicalExperience in financial services or another regulated industryStrong written and verbal communication skills across technical and senior business audiencesAbility to operate independently in fast-moving environments with shifting prioritiesNice-to-Have SkillsExposure to AI, machine learning, or data science product deliveryExperience supporting front-office or client-facing technologyBackground in investment banking, capital markets, private equity, or hedge funds
