Assistant Superintendent - Commercial Construction

Our company serves as a general contractor for commercial properties. We are currently seeking a Full Time Assistant Superintendent located in Kalispell MT.
At Snyder, our Assistant Superintendents are accountable in assisting the entire operation of the construction site, from mobilization to completion. With a top priority of safety and field coordination, the assistant superintendent must work closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager, Subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades to ensure that they are consistently producing quality workmanship that meets industry and Snyder standards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist in overseeing daily operation of construction projects from mobilization to completion, representing Snyder Construction Group in all matters at the job site.
Ensure safety, compliance and quality regulations are followed
Communicate project progress with clients, Superintendent and project managers
Assist managing subcontractors and construction site organization
Attend Owner, Architect, and Contractor project meetings.
Administer and document weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.
Interpret and understand all general contracts, subcontracts, scopes of work, drawings and specifications for a project.
Develop and update a detailed project schedule through collaboration with the Superintendent, Project Manager and Subcontractors.
Assist in coordinating construction activities to ensure that each project is constructed in an orderly, efficient and deliberate manner to provide a well-organized and efficient work environment for tradesmen and subcontractors.
Report and document project status daily, including recording daily reports
Provide progress photos, field issues, and incidents as required for proper documentation of activities.
Coordinate and manage all inspections
Ensure that all work performed on each project is completed with a level of quality that will exceed the owner's expectations.
Manage the punch list and project closeout process to assure a timely completion.
Assist with additional projects, duties, and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience building Commercial projects from start up through completion.
Possess ability to interpret and understand general contracts, subcontracts, scopes of work, drawings and specifications and maintains a familiarity with regulatory construction standards.
Proven experience assisting running large sites and successful completion of schedule, budget, client satisfaction and safety.
Professional image with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Must be adept in the activities of work supervised.
Assistant experience with multi-million dollar commercial projects such as multifamily, hospitality, mixed use. (preferred)
Open and willing attitude and eagerness to learn.
Communication skills verbal and written. Establishes collaborative relationships with internal as well as external stakeholders.
Proficient in reading, understanding, and applying blueprints and job specifications as well as safety knowledge and skills.
