Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty:PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care Discipline:RN Start Date:04/13/2026 Duration:12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift:12 hours, nights Employment Type:Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 0.00Opportunity: RN - Admin Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • 6-week scheduling cycle with every other weekend rotation required • Work 75% of holidays as expected for travelers • Maintain 2:1 patient ratio in Pediatric ICU/PCICU setting • 2 years minimum nursing experience required • First-time travelers accepted • Care for patients with respiratory conditions, congenital heart disease, hematology/oncology, post-operative, and trauma cases • Float to NICU and General Pediatrics units as needed • Required certifications: Illinois Nursing License, BLS, PALS (NRP preferred) • Work with EPIC EMR system, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Med sonic monitors • Navy scrubs required • Complete NEO orientation plus 2 days departmental training in PICU/PCICU • Work in supportive environment with 24/7 hospitalist and intensivist coverage, respiratory therapy, IV/VAT team, and charge nurse support • Free parking provided • RTO requires Resource Team approval Facility: This pediatric healthcare facility is a 300-bed teaching hospital with comprehensive specialty services including trauma designation, chest pain center, and stroke center capabilities. The Pediatric ICU/PCICU unit features 19-23 beds with an average daily census of 15-18 patients. The facility maintains a teamwork-oriented and friendly culture, providing extensive support services including 24/7 hospitalist and intensivist coverage, respiratory therapy, IV/VAT team, and comprehensive technology resources to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
